Product: Beco pet bone
Tail Wags: 4 out of 5 tail wags
Bordem buster level: Medium
Before Jackman arrived my choice of toys was plenty. Once he arrived with his hard mouth, all my soft toys disappeared. When Jackman gets his mouth on a soft toy it's not long before it is in need of surgery with its stuffing spilling out. To rectify this our humans have resorted to finding the most durable of toys that Jackman would not destroy, but that we can both enjoy. One day our human mum came home with the Beco pet bone. The biggest problem. . . there was only one. We've had the bone for about 8 weeks and it is still in one piece. That's not because we don't play with it. The moment our humans pull it out of our toy basket we go bonkers for it.
We like it because:
The vanilla scent - The scent of vanilla really makes my tail wag. Jacks, jumps around liking a jumping jelly bean. The vanilla scent also makes it easier for us to find when we play the game "find-it."
Finding treats stuck in it - When there are treats inserted into the ends, wow that's a real treat (pun intended). Our humans have given us the bone with both dry treats and wet and frozen treats. While, we get to the dry treats faster, we have found our humans standing over the sink for a bit of time cleaning out the toy when using wet frozen treats.
Gentle on my mouth - As a breed we Chessies have soft mouths, thus the chewy rubber is gentle on my mouth. Even with Jacks' hard mouth (he's still learning to soften his grip) there are only a few teeth marks. He hasn't managed to bite off any bits, like he has with similar products.
Indestructible - Eight weeks in and we are a long way off from destroying the bone. I'll be pretty impressed with ourselves if we do.
Multi-purpose - There are at least three games we can play with it.
Our humans like it because:
Made of natural durable rubber - Apparently the cost of our toys can be a bit pricey. That might explain why our toy basket isn't full of new toys every week. Thus, when our humans do buy us new toys they want them to last a long time. The durable rubber allows for just that.
Eco-friendly - With my sensitive tummy, our humans are very cautious of the toys and treats we play with. If it's good for the environment, hopefully it's safe for our tummies.
Dishwasher safe - This is key if our humans turn the bone into a frozen treat with wet food. It gets pretty messy, so for them to use the dishwasher for a quick clean and sanitise is a real win.
Bit of a boredom buster - The bone won't entertain me and Jackman for hours, but it does the trick for about 20 minutes with us just chewing it. When our humans play Find-it or Fetch with us then it's definitely a boredom buster and a great time for us bond with them, which we all love.

Note from our humans - Jackman did eventually manage to destroy the bone. If your dog is a strong chewer we recommend supervising your dog while they enjoy the Beco bone.
